When you say "the manager" I presume you mean Moyes. Well I don't see what else he could do with the players we have. A good striker would have scored, a bit more quality in midfield, especially with the final pass, and we would have also scored.
I get that but I thought his subs were poor. Alcaraz should have stayed on. Doucoure should have been off at half time. Jimmy Garner can at least play a pass and IMO should not have been subbed.
I suppose the biggest disappointment was a general inability to pass a football!!!

Anyway, most of us are fed up. Some having a go at Moyes, some at certain players. I hate them and am furious with the VAR officials and the TV pundits.
I am proud of our players, proud of Everton, and (despite not being a big fan of him in the past) proud of Moyes. He tried to get something out of that game with, lets be honest, a limited squad, some dross, a young or unfit bench. The TV pundits going on and on about the Tarks tackle but minimal about their offside goal.
For the past 15 years or so, we go to analfield knowing we are not just up against the [Poor language removed] but a banker of a home ref. The game is that driven by the media's favourite teams

Let’s be honest it was a great performance for 60 minutes or so and to be honest we n ever looked completely out of the game at anytime.

We’ve also all seen us go to Anfield and not get a sniff. Tonight we had a go, we’ve had a go at all games since Moyes has come in.

I genuinely feel we’re on the brink of something really good!

Glad to see you have come round. All things considered, we lack quality, we should all always remember that.

I’ve not seen a Liverpool team under Klopp ever give us so many chances as they’ve given us over the 2 games. Having 4 on 3s and seeing the keeper one on one twice in one half. I’ve watched us barely get out our half against a Klopp Liverpool. This lot are miles off it but sadly so are the rest of the league. No wonder PSG absolutely slapped them though, I wouldn’t put any money on this lot winning the europa league let alone the CL.
Just the prem then.

I do find it a bizarre part of the rule that you can ping a ball directly to someone who is offside and the game just carries on. How can that not be affecting the game when it's the whole reason Tarkowski plays the ball?

And wouldn't you just know it, down the other end in the last minute of the game this is given as offside despite it being nowhere near Brainthwaite.
Branthwaite very obviously isn't offside there, the ball never got near him. That wrong decision doesn't mean the other one is.

Yes, a sensible and realistic view. We lost, narrowly, and in controversial circumstances, but we did not get battered as many RS (and even some on here) suggested.

Let’s have some perspective. They have lost once all league season and have won 12 of 15 at home and are cantering to the title.

They have scraped past us with a dodgy goal and created little much else despite us being pretty poor on the night. This was their self proclaimed cup final despite being in an actual cup final and going for the league title which just shows their obsession.
