Line up V Stoke

If he doesn't make changes to the lineup then it shows he hasn't learnt anything from Southampton and will persist with players he deems as his strongest. I expect to see at least 5 changes for Stoke.
Martinez never learns fom his mistakes,he is one Stubborn man.

Badly affected? Like in the QPR game? Barkley's best performance this season. And Lukaku's best performances have come when Naismith has been in the side as well.

Total twoddle.
You know he means when Barkley is pushed wide. We played like that because Martinez was forced to by not having Barry and McCarthy. It was a once off game.

Howard
Coleman Jags Stones Garbutt
Besic Barkley
Mcgeady Naismith Mirrales
Kone
Or if McCarthys back

Kone Naismith Miralles
Id maybe consider alcaraz for jags, hes quite good in the air

If you pIck Alcaraz you could pick Robles and have the core of the relegated Wigan team.

Aguero and Suarez are world class players, not great players. Naismith is one of our best players, the reason we have to extend the contract is to avoid running the risk of losing him easily and keep his value at his worth.
If we lost him we would get decent money in the summer and it would solve a selection headache.

He's not Kev who we ironically did allow to run his contract down.

This is what Martinez will select

Howard
Coleman
Jagielka
Distin
Baines

Besic
Barry

Barkley
Eto'o
Naismith

Lukaku

Subs : irrelevant as they won't be used
I hate to say it but while you might have been joking if Kev, Stones and McCarthy aren't fit I'm almost certain that will be the team he plays.

I seriously think he thinks we've just been unlucky this season.

Stoke team talk..........
How do they play?..."They just go from one side of the pitch to the other and then back to the defense.
Close them down win possession and counter attack a very slow, weak back line. Don't worry about the goalkeeper............

McGeady

If Mirallas isn't fit, then swap in Pienaar

Yeah I think everyone would agree with the principle here - play the natural wide players out wide and the naturally central players in the centre. If we can all see it, then hopefully Roberto can.

Agree with the team selection as well, apart from the fact that he really needs to drop Lukaku to the bench and bring him on at 60 minutes when the Kone runs out of steam.

Get Denis and Vic back in.

Current bunch OUT.....dynamic Denis and goal machine Vic in.

Short, short memories.

Fair enough but what's the use in having better players if we're not going to use them properly.

Or rather, if we're only going to use them properly every 4 games.

The second one much more than the first.

This is what i want to see:

Howard

Coleman Jags Stones Garbutt

Besic Barkley McCarthy

Lukaku Naismith Mirallas

However, I don't for one minute think there is a hope in hell of this. It'll be the same as against Southampton (with the possible inclusion of McCarthy/Mirallas).

As others have already said, it's genuinely worrying how stubborn Martinez seems to be in terms of not accepting maybe the current style isn't working.

Like the squad but apart from the arsenal game last spring Rom out wide hasn't worked. Our main problem atm is our best attacking players besides Kev all play best centrally Naisy Ross eto rom, so we have 4 people for 2 spots if they're going to play in their natural roles. If mcgeady was in better form Id say play him on the right then bring rom and eto on as subs.
