He is our water-carrier - hardest worker in a Blue shirt and capable of sublime moments. Discard him at your peril

EXACTLY. Osman is the kind of guy every team needs. He's very good technically and he just gets on with it and never complains.

He is the perfect squad player for us. Never complains when he is out of the side, always does a good job when he is in it.

He knows the club and understands the supporters.

How easily we forget his golden moments like this.

God we play some sexy football these days. Tasty stuff; Ossie's a good contributor in these kind of moves.

Was man of the match against Chelsea & Man Utd at home last season, bossed, yes bossed the midfield with Tets away at City. Why on earth would we sell someone with his quality?

Ossie is easy target to bash, because he is unfashionable and isn't valued at £25m, however behind Arteta he is technically our best player. Crazy if we sell him

I'd say Piennar and Saha where more technical than him, maybe even Rodwell.

Ossie gets a lot of stick but he would start week in week out for most of the clubs beneath us in the league imo. He's been a loyal servant of the club, so i think it should be his decision if he wants to leave. I wouldn't hold it against him for wanting a better shot at first team football. He's had more than a few goal of the season candidates, can dribble through the defenses of weaker teams like a knife through butter, and always gives 100%, but lets face it none of us really include him in our suggested lineups. He's also played out of position for us for most of his career, and has never seemed to moan about it. I would prefer to hold onto him, and he strikes me as the type that would want to stick around and fight for his position.

I wouldn't mind loaning him out, while we retain the right to recall him in case of injury.

Pienaar for sure. Rodwell is a bit too young. Saha is a different kind of player, but I suppose Saha's class as a striker outweighs Leon's as a midfielder. But it's all a bit nitpicky, the point is he's technically excellent and a lot of Evertonians overlook this.

Yeh this is probably more what i mean. You don't boss midfields against United, Chelsea and City if you aren't a good player.

He's not our water carrier and it's sad the the vast majority of Blues completely overlook his natural ability and say things like "hardworking", "loyal" and "always gives his best".

He's one of the best footballers at the club, technically, I'd say he's easily one of the best English players around despite never being called up to the national squad. In terms of touch, close control, awareness and short passing he's a very capable player.

He's a credit to our academy really, the fact that we've developed players like Rooney, Osman and Rodwell over such a short period of time is impressive, especially when you consider there style of play. These lads wouldn't look out of place in more skillful countries on the continent.

Is Ossie was a Spanish or Portugese player, people would say he was amazing. He's the English Moutinho

You miss my point! When I say 'water-carrier' I mean the one doing all the hard work and not getting the recognition. You don't have to be a Robbie Savage to be a water-carrier. Just the one who does all the things the unobservant eye misses.. simply because, more often than not, he's not the one getting the rave reviews, supplying that final pass or putting a 20 yard screamer in the top corner. The rave reviews go to the Rooneys and Drogbas not to the likes of Fletcher, Park et al. The classic example is the Gerrard love-fest over the Park (for me he is the most over-rated footballer in the history of SkyPL (1992-2010)) whereas in fact the unsung work is done by the likes of Benayoun (when he was there).

I'd rather lose Pienaar than Osman. Great attitude and does whatever is asked of him, gives us tremendous depth.
