LFC Parade Incident

Tonight, on what should’ve been a great day of celebration for Liverpool fans, it looks like multiple families will have changed forever. It’s sad, it hurts and it’s shocking. But the bandwagon jumping needs to stop, a bunch of faceless/nameless accounts on social media acting like judge and juror with limited information/facts is pathetic. As said earlier, if your first port of call is to assume this is an attack by an outsider and label it a terrorist attack, before you have any information then it’s a sorry set of affairs.

I won’t post the photo (as it may very well be false), but there’s multiple photos online of the person being arrested, if those calling it a terrorist attack saw that photo I’m certain that wouldn’t be there first port of call.

If the photo is false and it turns out to be politically or religiously motivated then I’ll hold my hands up.

I hesitate from saying terror, lads.

It can be anything from a drunken idiot having one too many on his bank holiday day off, getting behind the wheel when he shouldn't have and losing control of the car, to someone having a medical episode like a heart attack, or epileptic fit at the worst possible moment?

Rather not speculate until all the facts come out.

I posted above mate, the guy wasn’t drunk. Scouse fella in his 50’s with no ale in his system

Happened to my ex. Car ploughed through stationary traffic hitting hers. Woman had an epileptic fit
Yeah it can certainly happen. Weirdly I was watching a video earlier from a bloke who had a fit and ended up basically drove off the freeway (it was in the US) and ended up going for ages weaving through a bunch of fields.

As mentioned above its always worth waiting to see what actually happened instead of jumping to conclusions (even if they are somewhat understandable)

Still grim obviously.

If it was a heart attack, surely they would have been taken off in an ambulance instead of a police van.
People jump to heart-attack, however from experience people can have epileptic seizures, issues with anxiety, blood-sugar level, sudden periods of pain et al.

It happens fairly regularly on Britain's roads, although in most instances the outcome is not overly severe.

Dreadful, hopefully no one is badly hurt or worst that there are any fatalities. Saw the video and unsure really what to make of it. Not convinced this is terror related...wouldn't surprise me somebody panicked, or perhaps somebody not quite right in the head. There was a similar incident in spain not that long ago where i believe a driver panicked and collided with football fans.

Obviously need to be confirmed but people have mentioned there is a video of an argument beforehand so it could stem from that. What makes a person want to drive into a crowd that could have kids and other innocent bystanders in I can't even wrap my head around.

Yeah

Seems like this bloke stopped and started and carried on. So he had his functions

There's evidence of confrontations between the driver and pedestrians on Dale Street, and it looks as if that continued to before the main video.
