Most of the Allardyce comparisons are fickle and short-sighted. We'd all like a more offensive XI with more pace, fight and passion.

But would Bernard or Iwobi offer that especially in a derby? Could or would King? Do they want Gylfi, who has been regularly slated by the masses, back in?

As you said, it's easy to moan and groan, but it's much more difficult to come back with reasoned alternatives.
