Good to see Carlo talking up the derby
rather than - its just another game.
The man brings a confidence and a reality thats been disappointingly lacking in the past.
Reckon win lose or draw they'll be having a proper go it.

Pickford - Holtage, Keane, Godfrey, Digne - Allan, Doucoure - Iwobi, James, Richarlison - DCL

Sit back, keep it tight, hit em on the break. 0-2, DCL brace.....

Id prefer to see James infield for this one as their fullbacks will be down the line at every opportunity, I`d got for pace wide in Richarlison & King.......

Pickford

Holgate Keane Godfrey Digne

Allan Doucoure

King James Richarlison

Calvert-Lewin
Diamond also a possibilty, if the strikers track full backs........

Pickford

Holgate Keane Godfrey Digne

Davies

Allan Doucoure

James

Calvert-Lewin Richarlison

Just feel James central tends to see him drop too deep. If he's getting man-marked out of the game then we'll just see what we saw in the first half against United.

Personally want to see a three of Allan, Doucoure and Davies in midfield, and Allan and Davies the players who are shuttling over to cover that space left by James, who then has the free role to cut inside and play where he likes.

James' best games for us have come from that position on the right. Because he doesn't really play there, he plays everywhere, but in the middle he tends to drop deep.

Reality equation;
Siggy starts = gutless pointing + head holding debacle.

And doing the Siggy-pose like this non-stop.

Need to win the midfield battle tomorrow, important to have a three of Allan, Davies and Doucoure imo, no room for Sigurdsson or Gomes in this match.

If Allan and DCL are 100% and start the game I feel like we’ll put in a performance like the Goodison derby at the very least.

Concerned the officials would like to see us ‘get what we deserve’ for hurting poor daddy virge in the first match and we lose in a gutsy but unlucky way... as always, would take a draw now.

100% he'll pick Gylfi over Tom Davies. Saying Tom done well covering the loss of Allan.....basically Allan is back so see ya later Tom.

If that Icelandic slug somehow manages to get a start tomorrow it will be pretty pointless watching it as it'll be backs to the wall again with him being an absolute non entity in the void of midfield and upfront
