I think he has talent and I like him. But in the modern game where physical attributes are more important than the past and most teams playing with 1 striker, i'm not sure that will be his best position to have a successful career. He needs to have a growth spurt and grow a couple of inches taller and get stronger. His pace is best utilized out wide where he can run with the ball. He's not winning any headers or holding much of the ball up top. Winger or wide forward will be where I think he can be top class.

You would hope his agent looks at what’s ahead of him now:

Rondon- offers nothing and will only be there short term.

Tosun- no future.

Richarlison- every chance of leaving this summer.

Simms- competing at the same level.

DCL- the man with the jersey.

For an 18 year old that’s not a bad spot to be in assuming he now gets regular first team minutes.

He’s looked at what’s ahead of him all season and been left to rot. Last night won’t change anything.

Salah & mane have been winning soft pens for years, so have Utd, city, spurs players. I’ve never seen salah or mane criticised or even booked. It’s not going to stop. Christ a certain ref didn’t stop for a head injury at Liverpool last night and let them play on until they scored.

Just watching it again now, it’s a pen for any of the top 3 sides. Yes, he made a meal of it, but he’s clipped. VAR and ref weren’t interested from the off cos it was Dobbin of Everton, if it was ANY player from the top 3 they’d have “rock and rolled” the clip where he clips him for about 5 minutes LOOKING for a reason to give it.

I do agree, he was already going down and then clipped. If he’s not been diving it’s a pen I guess.
But yiu are right, if it was against us, it’s never a pen!!
