Sharpys top lip

Player Valuation: £60m
WTF has happend to him. He's forgotten how to defend. He's been at fault for nearly every goal we'v conceded this season. Just letting players walse by him. I just can't belive this is the same player. If neville done any of these mistakes he'd be blasted by every one. What a load of [Poor language removed].

I love the guy, been claas the last two seasons. But so far he's been [Poor language removed] crap an needs droping IMO. Today he let defoe turn in the box....... a school kid knows you can't do that. Then he let johnson run into the box for the second an even worse just watched crouch walk in the box behind him for the third. [Poor language removed] [Poor language removed] lad. Get a [Poor language removed] grip.

You can't live on reputation. He needs to pull his [Poor language removed] finger out!!

Have to be honest we look stronger with him at LB.

Overall we were poor tday tacticly, midfiled never tracked back thier mid filed runners, theri full backs bossed the flanks, and our defender were ball watching.

I think the general malaise with the squad is effecting each player. Looks like it's effecting Lescott more so than others.

That Defoe goal was soft. Never should have had the opportunity to shoot to begin with.

taught the same myself hes making basic mistakes doesnt look like a patch of the lescott from the last two seasons.

then again neither does most of the team

Hes been [Poor language removed], but we know that he has the ability to be really brilliant. Either he needs some time to settle this season or he just straight up needs to be dropped. I think I'd go with the latter, seeing as Baines has been top notch at LB and Jags wouldnt be in midfield.

Agreed although Baines played well today.

Traditionly he did but their full backs tacticly were far better Traore and Johnson bossed the flanks and switched from a 4-4-2 defensively to 3-5-2 offensively, either this wasnt spotted by Moyes or their were not enough optyions in the squad to counter it. Either way their full backs were given to much room to move forward. Regardless of this our midfielder never tracked back to cover the runs of their midfileders, oh how we miss carsley!

Turned to [Poor language removed]? Or did his goals last year cover up his defensive displays?

I mean he gave indications last year that he turned off concentration at vital times.

I'm not saying he was [Poor language removed] last year and we were too busy celebrating his goals to realise but what is up with him this year?

HalewoodBlue had it spot on for once, the lad is a left back and he should play there. If he's going to moan about it then sell him.

He's a quality player and a must have in the team but that is at left back. I'd drop Baines and go back to basics. Neville, Yobo, Jagielka and Lescott at the back.

I watched him virtually every game last season and his defending is excellent, one on one situations especially.

His best position is left back though, you get a rounded performance from him there, both attacking and defending.

So left back whenever and centre back with a decent dm to help him out.
