Would faint with persistent fapping if we got him back, not that I reckon he's that much better than Distin, but him and Jagielka were impenetrable as a unit (although i'm sure Nik would find a way.)

But i have substance. Nobody has ever bid Â£24m for Jagielka and never will.

How do u know nobody ever bid Â£15m for arteta. Arteta was sold for 10 mill at 29.

Rodwell sold for 12m

Because it would have been accepted. Â£24m for any centre half at Everton is a dead cert.

All I remember is mark Hughes bragging about how man city have signed the best defender in the league
Too which a pundit replied....

"Signed the Best defender in the league?, Hes not even the best defender at Everton"

Made me chuckle at the time. Anyway lescott would now be too pricey and too old because of that. Plus I think he'd be quite happy being a squad player at city.
