I've always thought Lescott was a better LB. At CB he makes too many mistakes. Yes he's not a natural LB/RB and wasn't real pretty at it but defensively he just used the sideline to rub wingers out and at the attacking end he used his physicality to create chances and also chipped in with goals. Any attack on the left side when he was there was completely shut down. There was a reason why Baines couldn't get ahead of him for a couple years.

With all due respect, i doubt some random lad who works for Nike would have a clue about our transfers. Certainly no more than some posters on this board.
story I got told is the guy is fairly high up at Nike and has bits to do with some of the players who work with Nike. (I don't have a clue if Lescott does or doesn't). The guy is a blue who goes the match but that's all I know - he apparently told the guy I know that it's pretty much sorted.
