Apart from baines right?

Leighton totally spends his spare time rescuing kittens from trees, doesn't he?

Don't take that illusion away from me, sheeds.

I think he's a pretty decent bloke mate if that helps ?

On lescott I'm not sure they'll be loaning him out to anyone to be honest but obviously I could be wrong . somebody made an enquiry and was told that it wasn't an option. This was exactly the same with Johnson when everyone said they were definitely going to loan him but I was told they weren't interested. I'll need to firm that up in a proper conversation before January but from what I can gather the whole idea of a loan may well just be paper talk .

Joleon Lescott

David Moyes has left the door open for the return of Joleon Lescott. Sure, he's a great defender but do the team need his services or tbh do the fans want him?

Can you imagine him swapping his 100k a week plus Champions League football every year for 50k and struggling for Europa League.

No, me neither.

Dont think it would be right taking him back, after all the sh!t we went through with his sale id rather he rotted on citeh's bench

I'm fairly sure one of Arsenal/Chelsea/United would take him before us. Very good defender who should be playing at the highest level.

It'll be a loan, and City won't authorise any sort of deal to what they perceive to be a direct rival.

If it's in the Premier League, we'd be high on the list of potential clubs to take him, but I think it's more likely to see him move abroad permanently in the summer, or secure a long term loan move to a club in the Midlands for convenience sake, with them picking up 50% of his wages or something.

I wouldn't be surprised if Villa or West Brom went for him.

Posted in the other thread I could be wrong but as I understand they don't want to loan

He's not good enough to improve any club on a permanent transfer who would pay his wage demands IMO. I think it'll be a loan in January at the very least, permanent deal sought in the summer.

Would we take one of the best defenders in the PL in his prime at a time when we have only 2 reliable CBs at the club?

Yeah, I think so.
