Lescott Not Happy At Left Back

Last year makes no difference, Lescott is not a full back. In fact last year he looked going forward but getting back and tackling was not much cop. His shortcomings at LB were clearly exposed when we were knocked out of Europe.

As for you Danny is that all you can come up, " I told you so". Grow up.

Thank you Teppic. Essentially cannot see why Moyes insists on playing him rthere when we do have LBs on the books.

No need to get on your high horse pal(n), It was more of a "I agree...."

When he's on form he's probably the best defensive fullback in the League. Over the past two years the majority of wingers have come up against him and failed. He's a superb one on one defender, definatly the best we have.

He doesn't dive in, he stands his ground and doesn't let them past. He's perfectly capable in both positions for me, he's just struggling for form a bit at the moment.

Him playing left back seems to give us balance, we look alot more solid unit. I seriously don't see the problem, he's said in the article that the team comes first and that's all I want to see. Steven Gerrard didn't like playing on the right wing for Liverpool, he said it time and time again but like Lescott he did a job for the team.

This ties in nicely with that rumour about him being unhappy at playing Left Back and will hand in a transfer request in January if it's not sorted doesn't it.

We've kept are 1st 2 clean sheets with that defence this season, why should Moyes change it? And Lescott banged one in today.

So the thing is....Would he rather be benched or be rotated for Yobo (cos Jags has cemented his place IMO) or play games?

I feel sorry for Baines. The lad just wants to play and cant, then Lescott whinges about playing LB (for which he got into the England squad for in the first place).

Nothing we havnt heared before from him. Its simple if you want to play at centre back you have to earn your pace he hasnt done enough this season to dislodge Jags. Simple as really if you want it prove you deserve it!
