Lescott for Moutinho

Pienaar and Baines found a very good partnership in the end of the season, and now we have a good leftside. Don't want to sell him and ruin that. Can our left side improve? Oh, certainly, but our right side need much more improvement first. Selling Pienaar would remove our left side as well and clump us up in the middle more and, potentially, kick more longballs from behind instead.

And Dustbin? Wouldn't want him even in our reserves... afraid he'd teach our young defenders bad habits and poor defending.:dodgy:

Don't say Osman or I'll delete my account
Jack Collison would be ideal seems I'm dreaming of a future without Steven Pienaar but let's talk realistic here.
Okay, so maybe people don't think that much of Gareth Bale right now, certainly not as much as I, but bear with me on this one. Someone will snap him up and make a classy winger out of the kid. I'm hoping that will be us. That would be a cheap option for the left but hopefully one that proves shrewd.
And maybe I am getting a little carried away with my irrational hatred of Pienaar, possibly it's gone so far that I refuse to accept it when he puts in a decent display. I'll sign up for counselling first thing in the morning.

We need competition for all spaces in our team in order for it to progress. No player should feel guaranteed to play (unless his rival for the position is injured of course).

If you look at it rashly... The main positions we are vulnerable, even with a fully fit squad, is on our right side.. and there we don't have any reasonable competition for the positions.

Hibbert is the RB since Neville is used as a DM, so no real competition there.
Osman is also the only player able to play on the RM position. Sure we have played with Arteta and others there as well, but we haven't really had a rightside in those games since those players drift too much into the middle.

I hope we get players in that will compete with those two so they might step up their game a notch or two, just to prove they are worthy of being there.
