Well what a pathetic reason not to support your country. I really can not understand why football fans hope that their home nation gets beats. If the players at chealsea utd and the rs moved to everton would you suddenly want england to win. If you dont like supporting england please move abroad to a nation you do like live there for the desired time and apply for their citizenship. I bet you are the same people that if we ever did win a world cup or european championship you would jump on the band wagon. On top of that lescott played last night so on that note only i would suggest any evertonian would want england to win
Sorry rant over just a proud englishman who gets a bee in his bonet when he see's someone else who claims to be english saying they want england to get beat

Certain people on this forum have been calling everton a joke recently however i would like to assume that they would carry on supporting the boys. So just calling them a joke is not a reason not to support them so my above posts applies to you as well davek
 

Alot of scousers think like that, both Everton fans and Liverpool fans. I'd actually say the majority don't really care about England unless one of there own players in playing.

I'll watch them but I just don't have any passion for them whatsoever to be honest, It doesn't bother me if they lose. I want them to win but if they lose it's really no big deal to me. Just my personal opinion really, alot of people will disagree.

As Liverpool fans say, "We're not English, We Are Scouse". Make of it what you will.

you see toxtethblue i can buy that what you say but to actually say you want england to lose i just cant grasp the concept, but hey each to their own

Ok, it's more complicated than I first suggested. It's because they are a bunch of overpaid professionals (as you can see by 'triumphing' over the might of Andorra 2-0), supported by a seig heiling bunch of low feeders from Grimsby and Great Yarmouth.

I hope they get caned against everyone they play.
 
I never ever want or desire to see England lose, yet I sometimes feel that I do not want to watch half of our players win(confusing I know). It is because the majority of our senior players do not seem to want to do or die for their right to wear the 3 lions. That truly disappoints me. I guess I was spolit watching the Butchers, Pearces, Robsons, Shiltons etc play for England and that is where the bar was set.

Now on a massively brighter note, the U21's under the guidance of Pearce inspire me. I honestly believe that more people will regain their patriotism if Cappello kept to his word and stopped massaging the big ego's and promoted some of these lads. Technically sublime, physically fit, mentally aware and hungry.

So when they pull on a liverpool, chelsea or united shirt do you still like them? I highly doubt you do mate. So whats the difference?

Becasue when they pull on the 3 lions they are representing the country i love and i am proud of also i believe they are representing me and i am able to put my differences aside from club v country, but when they are representing the club teams they are not representing me. Dont get me wrong i will always put club success over country success if i had the choice out to say you want them to lose i just dont get

You talk a lot of crap sometimes, i support england so are you saying that i am a seig heiling bunch of low feeders from grimsby and great yarmouth. Also could you not argue majority of the premiership are over pais professtionals

You see again i fully understand this point of view and sometimes i share the exact same opinion and it is highly frustrating however as it is england and i am english i will support them evermore
