75% of the time he's garbage and an absolute passenger on the pitch, it's been that way his whole career. He has had some great moments and scored some massive goals down the years yes but the bad games have FAR outnumber the good games. Fact is he's not good enough to play for Everton, least not as a starter, and he hasn't been for about 5 years. Many have never forgiven him and Hibbert for their deplorable performances in the FA Cup final where they effectively lost us the game on that right side. Many people have been waiting for us to get shot of him for years but we never have and it shows what softies we are.

I like Osman he may get pushed off the ball easily but he never hides in games always available. When he played through the middle he always did well but his lack off physicality and pace made him look a worse player when played out wide. I hope he recovers and plays again although I do believe his role should now be a substitute as we have better players now in midfield and the number 10 positions.

Yes, I agree there's some poor players on there, but the general gist is that an England cap means you've been performing particularly well! I think Osman's caps came about 5 years too late, and he was never going to break up the whole duality of Gerrard and Lampard.
