I thought he done well when he came on, and offers something different.

I am not a massive fan of Osman, but he will never let you down and he has an eye for goal

I would play him instead of Barry and see how it goes from there

I'd rotate him with Barry because they're both far too old to be playing week in week out. Although Martinez seem to disagree.

I think it'd be good to have a forward thinking player in the middle of the park from time to time.

Me to, that's why he tried Gibson yesterday.

Personally I'd like to see more width so the midfield players have something to pass it out to and not contest the middle of the pitch so much. I wouldn't be opposed to seeing a fit Osman out on the left to help bring Baines into to play higher up the pitch. But for that happen we also need a covering midfield player for the space Baines leaves and that's where Barry steps in..

All a bit FM I know and Martinez has his work cut out figuring a way forward, but he gets an awful lot of money to sort it out I suppose.

Osman playing from the left isn't a bad shout, he'd at least be disciplined enough to play that position and a far better option than shoving the likes of Barkley out there.

Give me an inside left capable of building attacks like Osman/Pienaar over an out and out winger like McGeady all day long.

Yeah we've badly missed both of them over the last 3/4 months, although I'm sure the less enlightened ones will disagree.

I'll hold my hands up and say I've thought Pienaar was on the decline but you're right, we haven't half missed him.

We'd do well to find an able replacement for him in the summer.

Good for the last twenty minutes of a game, but Biffo Martinez needs to be playing Barkley and Mirrallas (shielded by McCarthy and Besic behind) if we are going to salvage a season out of this utter heap of dung.

I reckon he was definitely on the decline, but it's an indictment of our lack of this kind of player that we've been missing him and Osman so.
Provides some cutting edge.
Number One priority for me outside of a CB is a young version of Osman or Pienaar.

Osman on the left isn't a bad shout if Martinez is going to stick with the way he's playing, he won't have to worry so much about the physicality that bothers him in the middle of the park, and would free Baines up a lot more with a wiser head than other options we've had.

That Eriksen over at Spurs would've been fantastic. An absolute snip at £11m too.

We really need to start picking up some quality players for that amount of money. If you look at Coutinho, Sturridge, and Bony (Swansea transfer fee) it shows that the talent is out there at that price.

Ya, I think playing with a creative midfielder on one side and an out and out winger on the other is still a good strategy as long as your creative midfielder isn't naismith! Or 2015 Barkley...

Loads of top teams do it and i reckon osman could do a job there

Rafael Silva is our man in that regard I believe.
