Thats sad news if its true.i thought he played a big part in our best season for years last season and has been sorely missed recently. Who will the wolf pack turn against instead of him now I wonder

Amazing how we will only hear good things about him now that he is crocked, fickle lot us Evertonians. I won't lose any sleep if he never play's again but there have been bigger frauds than Ossie to pull on the blue shirt, and he has alway's giving 100% percent, he never justified the boo boys, seems that it's much easier to turn on your own than some foreigner who couldn't give a monkeys. I can see similarities in the way fans are suddenly questioning Ross Barkley. Shame it has to end like this if true but he will always be a Blue.

I would wager that, if there is a possibility of recovery he would choose that option because if, on regaining fitness he wasn't up to the level required, he would know it was time to call it a day. On the other hand retiring without knowing that is the case would be something he'd probably regret (that is to say not having tried to recover). So I think we'll see him try to recover and go again. Possibly his return might be brief - a few substitution appearances or a handful of starts and then he'd know one way or the other. He's already got some of the coaching badges so likely he'd go down that route somewhere or even with our youngsters (surely got to have more about him than Rhino?).

As much as he can frustrate, particularly getting knocked off the ball easily, we could have done with him during our recent run of games. The abuse he gets on this forum is sometimes way over the top, but he doesn't go missing like some have been doing recently. Both Everton and Liverpool have a long history of having home grown favourites, now that Slippy Starfish is bringing that era to end over the park, we need to make sure we support our local lads and give them some slack when they need it, ie Barkley.

Would be a shame if that was the end of his career.

He is no longer a player who should regularly be in the starting XI, however Ibelieve he can still offer something to the squad from the bench.

His experience would have also been a useful contribution later in the season. Maybe it will force Martinez to delve into the marker during January.

I know he has his faults but I'm a big fan of Osman. Be a shame for him to go out through injury. Id hope he was kept on in a coaching role because with his personality around the club and his footballing (maybe not so much physical) talent he could be a excellent mentor
