No, it isn't false, and it is evidenced by the fact that he provides less defensive protection than Seamus Coleman.

If he really isn't out of position when he's needed in defence, and I think that's questionable, then it just once again shows that his attacking game comes at the consequence of not providing as much defensive protection.

Yet even if they were, they all show that he's one of the best in Europe statistically, with identical defensive stats to Ashley Cole in the season the graph refers too and offensive stats that blow him out of the water.
