…..massive results yesterday with Leicester losing at home and Portsmouth and Oxford winning their games. It leaves Leicester 4 points adrift of safety and Portsmouth have a game in hand.

Leicester visit Pompey next Saturday lunchtime.
When I saw this thread had a new post and that they lost, I went to look at the table. I can see that Leicester in free fall now. Not good for them at all.

I know it's a long time ago. But were Leicester the favs to go back up as i can not remember. Usually a club relegated always seems to be favs

They will end up bust if they go down again. There was a good podcast from a weeks ago where Charlie Metvhen (of Sunderland Til I Die fame) explained in detail just how terribly run they are as a business and how dire a situation they could be in.

Spending well over 100% of their annual turnover on player wages, none of whom had relegation clauses. Another £10-15m annually on running costs for their training complex (which includes a 5-star hotel... WTF). Their parent company, King Power, has never recovered to their pre-Covid levels of income and just had to be bailed out by the Thai government. Still paying out several ex-managers also.

Love to see it. Trying to sue us for PSR breaches when their own finances where absolutely horrific and without any of the mitigating circumstances that we were contending with. And let's not forget the singing about Boris Johnson taking away benefits. Couldn't happen to a nicer lot.
