Of course they should. It has proven to have benefit medically and there are no deaths directly as a result of smoking dope. It doesn't deteriorate the lungs anywhere near as much as smoking does and it doesn't restrict the body as much as alcohol.

I can't fathom a reason as to why weed is illegal yet alcohol and smoking isn't. Truly baffling.

THIS, would also create many jobs up and down the UK. Though i do think it would need to be regulated in terms of who gets it and what potency is provided.

Obviously, if it was available you've got the problem of how do you restrict it and what not. I can understand that people don't want to be sitting on a public bench with their kid and the reek of dope everywhere. It's different to smoking in that the second hand effects can actually sometimes be felt! Recreational use is all fine, but there are so many grey areas as to where you should be allowed to smoke.

However, you could argue that it's essentially all but officially legal to use it already. Me and a few mates were caught smoking in a large open green area once and the Police didn't make a big deal. Just told us to dub it out and a little slap on the wrist. I quote their words "We don't mind you doing it, just don't do it in public. Do it in your house where you're bothering nobody."
 
Tried some pretty light weed when I was younger, but I understand there's some pretty heavy strains of skunk out there. Would the govt legalise the lot, or just the lighter stuff?
 
Once the dam is opened, they'll all come flooding through and it'll be junkie paradise. Just take the names of the 200,000 and lock them up...........
