Rovers deserved winners...although it's been a shambles of a season in terms of disruption and lack of fans. My season ticket at Oriel got me to just 2 home games...still not a peep out of the club about refunds or what will be carried over next season.

Then to rub salt in the wounds, we lose out on the chance for a trip to London and a game at the Emirates tonight...a 3-0 defeat to an under strength Arsenal side (which included €72m Pepe and world cup winner and ex everton man Mustafi). 0-0 up until 42 mins. An error by Rogers and then Dummigan sent us in 2-0 down at half time. A wonder strike 30 seconds into second half from Pepe killed it off.

I hate post Covid football.

I see the FAI are threatening to punish Derry City now because they couldn't field a team against Rovers on Wednesday night due to Covid outbreak. Talk of a points deduction or fine, awarding a walkover win to Rovers...em, didn't Rovers just get a 3 match hiatus because of C19 cases in their squad??? How is that fair???

Not to mention the fact that the league wouldn't help Dundalk move matches with fixture congestion to ease European match preparations.

There is a definite bias towards a certain part of the country...and a particular team.

Bohs did not request postponement when they had a positive. The League issued notice to all clubs on 25th October that no more postponement would be entertained.

We are still without the best player in the League, and in fact I am concerned about his future as he is very badly affected.

Finn Harps 0 Rovers 2 72 minutes

Woops...this is the Premier NOT the Cup QF. That is in 2 weeks at Finn Harps.

Getting old!!

Wow, Rover, congrats on the title win, you're contribution to the page has improved ten fold since ye started winning again.

And as for your constant bozos shouts, 'we ALL hate hoop scum'.

Hi Tipp!! Thanks for your magnanimity!

Tough day at the office in Pâirc ui Chaoimh. Mrs BR very unhappy.

Draw for Round 1 at 8.30am.

Stay safe mate!

Limerick are looking very strong, I think a repeat of the 2018 final is on the cards. It was a great game yesterday given them conditions.

Tipp avoided the 1st round although they probably could do with more game time.

I hope the Dubs' experience in the 2and half against Kilkenny will stand to us against Cork. Also, we need to get Rushe fully fit.

Best of luck, would like to see ye beat them, I'd say it will be a tight game, I didn't see any of the game against Kilkenny but Cork were far from impressive against waterford.

I'd prefer the winner of the Clare game in next weeks draw.

Rovers 0 St Pat's 0 at HT.

Rovers will be presented with the League Championship trophy afterwards.

Jack Byrne started on the bench but came in for injured Graham Burke. Good to see him getting game time but after his Covid19 experience, he is probably going to find it tough.

Lively first half from both sides.

Live on RTE2.

Rovers down to 10 men for last 20 minutes but it finished 0-0.

Entertaining game, and Rovers remain unbeaten in this half season.

Now for the trophy! 8 points clear with game in hand. 2 more matches. Last time they went unbeaten all season was 1926.

2-0 at home to Derry yesterday. Last game of this reduced season at Shelbourne.

If we don't lose we will be unbeaten. So far P17 W14 D3 L0.

11 points clear.

Great to see Jack Byrne play full game.

Now, can we do the Double???
