Laudrup Sacked

Great comment on Sky's facebook post about this:

Bit of a joke really and these short appointments don't help with the development of players. (Across all of the premier league/championship)

No wonder England struggles to develop players, if managers know they won't get time (Outside the like of Mourinho/Moyes) at clubs why would they waste time on developing them. They have no option but to buy established players and concentrate on the now

As opposed to all the time managers get in spain?

They've been playing some horrible football this season. Michu playing out of his skin last year papered over a lot of cracks. Add in the trouble of playing Europa League and their squad has been exposed as horrifically weak in key areas.

And he signed David N'gog.

Didn't see that coming at all. Baffling decision, it was just six months ago that he was linked with big, big clubs.

I think the only shocking thing about this is the timing. They've been on the outs for a while now.

I didn't see it coming but its hardly baffling is it, lets be honest. Some shocking results and very very poor form.

ha, love the complete over-reaction of some people on BBC text in. why do people write in saying terrible decision etc. without knowing all the facts. it's the same as cardiff with mckay, they only ever look at on-field results and jump on chairmen because they think the sacking is always based on a few bad results.

I guess I'm in the minority thinking he deserves the sacking? 8 league wins in 35 games since that League Cup final is awful. I don't care if he happened to win it either. I would rather Everton never win the League Cup than go on a run of league form like that. The Premier League is far too important for clubs like Swansea to start thinking they can compromise their safety in it for cup success. That is a cold hard reality.

Its funny because I questioned his safety in the "Today's football" thread after their defeat to West Ham. He can blame me if he likes. I am not surprised in the slightest.

An odd situation, but they were that bad against West Ham that it was probably inevitable. He had also signed a lot of very poor players.
