That seems a bit daft, I don't understand that at all unless we did a Wimbledon to Milton Keynes type move.

I can't really judge to be honest as I rarely get to to go but he was deadly serious. Just can't bear the the thought of leaving Goodison.

There were Man City fans who said they'd never go again after they left Maine Road. People just say stuff sometimes for the sake of sounding like a passionate uber fan. When push comes to shove, they most likely continue going.

I've spoken to a mate about this. He goes every week and to loads of aways and has categorically told me that if we leave Goodison he'll stop going.

It's that important.

why would they stop going? i know a few people who have said the same thing because of the history and "great atmosphere". Goodison is falling apart, terrible location, no parking and smaller than alot of our rivals (tottenham, liverpool, west ham, newcastle). Be Arsed walking to the game every weke and seeing Anfields new stand towering over stanly park and ours barely gets over the rows of houses. there would be no benefits to staying there

Fair enough, I don't get to Goodison often so maybe that makes a difference, but I just can't see that I'd be of that opinion even if I was a regular at home games. Seems an odd choice, but each to their own I guess.

Arsenal make nearly £4m a home game through , tickets , corporate hospitality etc. We don't even make £1m I believe . On league games alone they bring in well over £50m a season more than us through the gate .

A new stadium does matter . It matters a lot .

I nearly creamed my kecks when i saw the kd project as a blue who now lives away and only gets to a couple of home games a season i sometimes struggle to get tickets and took my 5yo to his first game this season it depresses the s**t out of me that he spent the whole match with an iron girder in front of him.
We need an owner with vision who understands that the club need moving forward. Then the fans will be happy and maybe they will make a few quid when they sell up.

No we aren't . But we still have to try and bridge that gap .

If we were to move to a new stadium we would definitely lose some people who would refuse to transfer to a new ground and we would also pick up new people who would prefer to go to a nice new stadium with better facilities , on average I think attendances would increase .

Goodison is a ground packed with history , memories and traditions , but then so was Highbury, Maine Road and others.
I go to Croke Park in Dublin to watch Cork hurlers and footballers whenever they are there. The facilities there are incredible, the opportunities to spend money are all around you and close at hand. A new ground for Everton will also provide greater opportunities to make more money on a match day.

The club cannot just stand still , we have already been passed by too many and are trying to play catch up.
I support Everton , the club, I cannot comprehend somebody who says they would stop going if we changed to a new ground...but that is just my opinon.

Not 100% sure of his reasons. Just loves Goodison essentially I think. It's Everton to him.

I reckon it's different for us who don't go every week and not from the place. I wouldn't care where we played as long as it was best for the club.

He's just very passionate about Goodison I guess.

I doubt the same level of demand is there for corporate seats. Do we even sell out boxes atm?

We probably don't . But a new stadium , better facilities and new investment is how it all starts . We may as well keep the current board if we don't try and move forward
