When I press the what's new button, it marks the board as read.... is this supposed to happen?

Still doing it mate and i've cleared my cache/history, its the go to first post button when you click on settings and subscribed posts, instead of going to last post you read it goes to top of the page

To be fair, you wouldn't - given that your not aware of any of the changes that were enforced.
Works fine for me across all platforms. Suggests error then is temporary.
