Last Film You Watched

Strange one this. Starts as an intriguing story about an actress offered a deal of a lifetime to have her digital likeness scanned into a studio computer system to be used as they need, the condition being she can never act again. It then morphs into a Miyazaki-esqe animation as the technology runs wild. The first part is interesting, particularly after recently seeing the new Star Wars film, the second is beautiful but disjointed. Worth a look if you fancy something unusual.

It's brilliant Edge, give it a try

will give that a watch, have seen true story , and prisoners , thought prisoners was really good, true story left me thinking they could have done a little more with the story bit one paced

I really enjoyed True Story. Both very very good in it but made me realise what a great actor Jonah Hill is.
Don't know if you've seen Wardogs but he's even better in that. Also a very good film.

Yep, thought he stole the show in Moneyball. Get on War Dogs though, scarily good. Also a great performance by Bradley Cooper.

Just watched War Dogs mate.
Really enjoyed it. Mad that it's based on a true story but really good movie.

Again Hill was good in a more serious role. His weird laugh was great.

Bought her The BFG (2016) for Christmas as she loved it at the cinema.

Just watched again and it really is great. Perfect to the book actually.
Jermaine Clement as the main giant easily the best bit of the film. Have to say though, the rest of it left me a bit flat. It was ok, but nothing more. Never liked the whole queen bit when I read the book to the kids, and felt it didn't work well in the film either.

The queen bit is weird. But it's in the book. So kind of has to be in the movie!

Just got round to watching Foxcatcher. Really good film that, very effective for me as I had no idea of the story. Very impressive turns from Steve Carrell and Channing Tatum in departures from their more usual roles. Not a comfortable watch though
Hey Steve Carell seems psychotic in that film, but like you I couldn't understand why I had never heard of the case, but hey . . a really good watch for this Nodder.

Mark Ruffalo is good, hope he has a good part in it?

There's a good documentary on Netflix about the same thing, really interesting stuff. Amazing how much rich people are allowed to get away with/go mad because people are afraid to point things out to them.
