Not the last film I watched.. but it popped into my head, not without good reason.
If you have never seen John Woo's Red Cliff then you are missing out on one of the great epics of modern times. Ignore the rather mediocre 7.4 IDMB rating, this is without doubt one of the most magnificent movies I have ever watched.

Make sure you watch it in its original 2 part format, with original language.. (probably where the IDMB idiots' patience ran out).

Dug out The Long Good Friday from my DVD collection last night. Still a boss film but, for the first time, I thought it was looking a bit dated. Dame Helen is stunning in it. Forgot how good the score is too.

Great that! I watched it in an arty type cinema in Singapore and luckily for me it had subtitles...one of my best foreign language cinema experiences...

Second part just as good...its a pity they didnt stretch it into 3 parts.

Just watched Sully (2016).

It's alright. I'm a Hanks fan but he does some to like doing these types of movies. I mean it's a very nothing movie. Harmless. But not that dramatic. And short enough to be inoffensive.

I dunno 2.5 out of 5 Championship Belts.

It's a bit boring. I mean it's a true story about something quite dramatic that somehow they've made to seem not that dramatic at all.

A very easy watch though.

Tell you what, i'd be livid if i'd paid full whack to see it in the cinema.

I'm afraid it looked pretty crap mate. I loved the series and didn't want to ruin it. I may try again, just wasn't in the mood maybe.

I don't fancy this film. Dramatic though the event was, it seems it was perfectly executed and over relatively quickly.

Does it compare to Flight? That was a great film.
