Last Film You Watched

Iiky it's worth watching it, then just skipping the ending. You should know when to turn it off...

Obs it's a sequel to?/in the same world as Cloverfield, so the ending fits with that, but it's so out of kilter with the rest of the film. Just jars and doesn't sit right. Would have much better if it had just ended when she removed her mask and was able to breathe.

Are these American remakes of the Spanish Rec films?

When I replied it revealed the spoiler (about 10 Cloverfield) aaghh, haha.

Don't think so, same sort of premise i.e camera, found footage but not sure the stories are the same.
Rec, was remade as Quarantine in the US and also has 4 titles in the series.

Just watched Philadelphia again.... 10/10 for this film everyone. Tom Hanks role in this is perfectly played out despite the warnings he allegedly received before taking the part. A breakthrough film in my opinion.

I was dragged to see it by a girl I was seeing at the time. Thought it would be rubbish, wonderful film and even though you know from the start that there's not going to be a happy ending, it doesn't stop it being any the less moving.

I agree mate 10/10

Every now and then the Horror channel shows a genuinely good film.

This was on last night and it'll be shown again.

An old fashioned atmposheric, creepy horror, that is genuinely scary in parts and very well cast.

An orphaned lady inherits the abandoned tumbledown house that belonged to her parents in the middle of a Russian forest........

Worth looking out for

Over the last week, I watched:

The Accountant - great film, highly recommend it.
Inferno - OK, if you like Dan Brown's books. But if you have seen The DaVinci Code and/or Angels and Demons - no need. Same old same old)
Hacksaw Ridge - great film. Battle scenes are intense. Think Saving Private Ryan. Its a true story too, the guy was heroic.
Dr. Strange - a fabulous Marvel movie. My favorite.
Ex Machina - great sci-fi movie.
