Last Film You Watched

Thoroughly underwhelmed by this film. Really average. Dialed in performances by all concerned, and the Coen influences just seemed completely out of place (the mildly amusing phone scene made me laugh, but it's meant to be a serious film, so I almost felt guilty for laughing).

The Guardian give it 5/5.

91% on Rotten Tomatoes.

I must have watched a different film.
Yeah, I liked the showdown between Tom Hanks and the spook as well, that was Cohen-y. Mark Rylance was good, wanted to see more of him. Thing is, I looked into the story a bit after I watched it. I knew the Gary Powers stuff from school, but the story of Rudolf Able's time in the US leading up to his capture is much more interesting . That's the fillum I wanna see; Mark Rylance doing that story.

I just don't understand why they agreed to the two-for-one deal. Proper Everton that.

Behind Enemy Lines (2001)

Watched again after talking about it at work.

It's not great let's not lie hey mate. But it's still weirdly watchable for some reason.

Why is Owen Wilson even in it?!

SAKE

2 Championship Belts out of 5

Ha ha. I'm always interested in why people make choices etc... This one isn't for me mate you've put me off a little :)
How could ANYTHING I have said put you off of it? It's absolutely TERRIBLE! THAT'S why you SHOULD watch it!

I started watching it knowing nothing but a brief blurb what it was about. That's it. Sounded..interesting. Started off bad and got really really really fn awful. picked up to almost PRETTY fn terrible, then it ended.

rewatched Interview with a Vampire, haven't seen it in 20 years.

still brilliant! the theatrical vibe is maybe an acquired taste but the asexual eroticism is special, shame the scene it influenced was emo teen rubbish (Twilight, True Blood etc).

9/10 and in my top 50.

i read the Anne Rice books way back when too, makes you fantasise dark things. the later Queen of the Damned film isn't worth a watch.
