One of my favorites. Angel Eyes is such a good villain, and they couldn't have had a better Blondie than Eastwood

I thought Filth was excellent, not for the faint hearted though Bruce eeeeeehhhh??
Testimony to everyone invloved in the film, that they were more or less able to stick to the book and get it through the film censors !

Finally got round to seeing 'The Master' last night.
Another bold modern epic from Paul Thomas Anderson, this thinly veiled critique on cults of personality (specifically Scientology and L. Ron Hubbard) resonates with a compelling narrative, left field direction, mesmerising cinematography and powerful performances from Philip Seymour Hoffman, Amy Adams and a menacing physical turn from Joaquin Phoenix. Great score from Johnny Greenwood as well.

Watched Straight Outta Compton yesterday. The first half+ of the movie was brilliant. I'm not really a big fan of hiphop, but it was really great to see how the band got together, the touring scenes and the parties. The second half was a bit less entertaining, but still very good. 8/10
