We watched the dvd tonight of Saving Mr Banks. What a wonderful film and Emma Thompson and Tom Hanks are terrific in their interaction. I thought I was past the smaltzy family stuff but I loved every second of it. Mrs TD shed a tear or two, having always loved the Mary Poppins film.

Same here mate, completely caught me surprise. Wasn't even sure about watching it to be honest but it was so much better than we were expecting.

Zero Theorem - Terry Gilliam's latest. Dazzling visually, with a great performance from Christophe Waltz. It's treading similar ground to Brazil with some nice digs at pop culture. Not a masterpiece but I enjoyed it. And Melanie Thierry gets nekkid.

You sir are a Philistine, to describe the film that has been voted the most scary film of all time as - " too long / slow " beggars belief. You should read the book and then watch the film, it will help you appreciate the things that make this film a classic piece of film making.
