Watched Grand Budapest Hotel today. First Wes Anderson film I've seen, so it was pretty interesting

The Siege - pre 9/11 terrorism on US soil with subplots involving surrender of civil liberties and inter agency conflicts. Seem to remember this took a lot of criticism at the time, and the plot is a bit clunky now and again but it's a decent film with a top cast led by dependable Denzel, and well shot by Roger Deakin. Interesting watch with some years hindsight.

Check out The Royal Tennenbaum's which is my favourite and The Life Aquatic is pretty bonkers and I love it

watched gone girl yesterday & really enjoyed it, having read the book it lived up to expectations, I kind of wish I hadn't read the book because I knew what was going to happen but still 5/5

Watching Neil Marshall's The Descent ! I really rated this as an all time classic horror and was proclaiming Marshall as the future of horror ! Oh dear! where did it all go wrong? last seen as G RR Martin's gimp!
