Last Film You Watched

John Wick - OK I suppose but strikes me as being insanely overrated.

I like a one man killing machine movie as much as anyone but when a film takes itself this seriously but still relies on the trope of hundreds of the enemy patiently waiting their turn to engage him so as to ensure he's never outnumbered then it gets pretty tedious.

Based on a true story...

It's a poor man's Death Wish 3.

Scars of Dracula (1970)
They've truly stopped caring about finding creative ways to resurrect Dracula at this point. Pretty funny, really. Gotta say though, this for sure was one of the better films in the series. Christopher Lee is more involved than in any other film so far. Draculas flunky (Patrick Troughton) was pretty good, and by god Hammer really knew how to cast some stunning girls in their movies. Both Jenny Hanley here and Linda Hayden in the previous one were incredible to look at. 7/10

There’s so much more to Dredd as a film, than The Raid.

Both are fantastic films, but the Dredd film is a near perfect translation, of Dredd from the 2000AD comic, onto film.

I‘m genuinely surprised that it didn’t produce a franchise, as there’s so much material there.

Both The Raid + The Raid 2 are superior simply for having epic fight scenes + fantastic shots + weird indonesian bad guys + being set in Jakarta as a foreign language film and on extremely low budgets.

Dredd may be similar to the comic but its not ground breaking.

Incidentally Jakarta is so much fun...
