So was Juliette Lewis’s performance. A great film!

Watched Man of God the other night.
Though a bit stilted at times, I enjoyed it.
It’s a biographical film based on the life of a Greek Orthodox saint. The lead is excellent and a good cameo from Mickey Rourke of all people

Both watchable, but the way people are talking them both up I think I watched a different film.

Watched Holy Spider yesterday. True story of a woman journalist tracking down a serial killer of women in Iranian holy city of Hashdad about 20 years ago. Very good. Brutal and disconcerting.

The Bride of Frankenstein (1935)
Brilliant. Really enjoyed it. It's mindblowing how good this movie looks, considering it's 88 years old. Boris Karloff is absolutely wonderful as the monster, while Ernest Thesiger instantly became a new favorite of mine here. One of the finest Universal monster films for sure. 8/10
