Watched Grave of the Fireflies last night. Yes it was intriguing and touching, but reading the reviews I feel like I was missing something. Maybe it's because I've never watched an Anime file before and couldn't quite relate to the characters, not sure.

for me i was definitely surprised with how good it was, expecting it to be rubbish but it stood up to the first film.

If you're after a bit of entertainment and nothing more you'll like it, don't have high expectations, just enjoy the ride. Ties in nicely with the original 300. Plus Eva Green ffs, well worth seeing her on the big screen.
