This weekend I watched Alien followed by Aliens.

They’ve aged so well and have an atmosphere like no other.

I favour Alien (it’s art). But Aliens is great fun.

Spot on. Summed up by many of its typical quotes.
The Arty one- Ash: "I admire its purity. A survivor. Unclouded by conscience, remorse, or delusions of morality"
The Fun one- Hudson: "How do i get out of this chickensh*t outfit".

The Gray Man on Netflix.

Loads I didn’t like about it from a technical point of view. Horrible sped up crane camerawork, jumpy editing with too many quick cuts, the movie couldn’t make up it’s mind about the tone.

But it was definitely entertaining, and Chris Evans in particular was chewing the scenery, thoroughly enjoying himself.

Just looked it up, and it’s meant to be the most money ever spent by Netflix on a movie - $200m, and it shows. A celebration of excess.
