Watched Eastern Promises last night. Very good film I thought. Viggo Mortensen was excellent.

I enjoyed the film, there was a host for the Q&A and when she tried to wrap it up Stephen Graham said “ aren’t we talking any questions from them ?” so there was another 30 minutes. It was interesting hearing about the creative process and the thought that went into casting etc.
I didn't manage to get to it over the weekend mate, hopefully one night this week!

Another good one I saw recently was I Never Cry - a Polish/Irish film. Thought it was really good and gave an insight into the experience of Poles coming to western Europe to work

Also tried to watch Tragedy of Macbeth but didn't last longer than 15 minutes due to my simpleton brain not understanding a single word they are saying and not having the desire to try and decipher every other sentence. I will try and watch again when I can be bothered to pay more attention, I can happily watch foreign films with subtitles but Shakespeare does my head in... im so uncultured lol
Just saw the new Scream. It was ok, pretty entertaining but not a patch on the first 2. Thought it was better than 3 and 4 though but that’s not saying much as they are both dreadful
Logan starting on Film4. Still the best Marvel film to date.
Not a comic book movie fan but I saw this and thought it was brilliant.
Hugh jackman was incredible. Wish they did more stand alone proper films like this.

Just seen Scream, not my normal taste in films but thought it was decent. It's kind of like a comedy/farce rather then a straight up slasher.
Unusual intro too with a request to not ruin it for people telling them what happens.

Watched Red Army last night, about the all-conquering Soviet ice hockey team of the 1980s. The tiki-taka of ice hockey. Good insight into what was going on in the USSR arounf the time of Glasnost.
The Wasteland - Spanish with subs.
Gothic style horror,
I’m on the fence with this one - really good in parts and then try’s to be too clever in other parts, which detracts from what is a very creepy and disturbing horror.
Set in rural 19th Spain. A father and mother decide to protect their son, from the death and destruction around them, by living in isolation.
Something sinister and primeval, starts to stalk them and prey on their fears.
Very well acted ( particularly the young boy ) fantastic dystopian setting, but flat in parts, too clever in others, yet seriously disturbing in others.
It’s one of those that you’d have to make your own mind up with.
Netflix.
Watched this today biggest load of crap I’ve watched in a long time. What the hell was that second section of the film weird in the extreme.This was just great and i feel really strange after it.
