I like my marvels so probably will at some stage but Eternals looked pants from trailers. Just seemed an unnecessary addition, and don't see how it fits with the MCU as whole.

Tbh, I think it's been quite messy since Endgame.

It's a lame excuse to shoehorn Hollywood actors into the Marvel Universe, and it's a lame, obvious effort. Also if you wait past the end credits you'll see just how far they are willing to stoop.

Brad Pitt always just plays Brad Pitt, when he is cast it is usually because the producer / director whoever wants exactly that; A-lister, star quality. His name will attract an audience, but a good actor by skilful acting methodologies he is not. Certainly not when taken comparatively against an experienced character actor say like Michael Sheen, who tends to disappear into the role.

Tom Cruise is a fair example of someone who was able to move away from that sort of "just a big name on a billboard" status to someone who can actually take on and accomplish a role; see: War of the Worlds, Collateral, or Tropic Thunder.

Was re-watching History of Violence last night and realised it’s technically a bloody DC film!

Just watched Stillwater at the cinema, good drama, nothing over complicated, got some great acting in it including a few children, well worth a watch if you like crime thrillers

Yeah, watched it yesterday myself. I loved the Marseille shots, amazing. But the girl (Breslin) who played Matt's daughter was god awful, the acting was just not there. Rest of the cast were good indeed, especially the French. Damon too was excellent.

No time for Oscars and whatnot, however, how he didn't get one for Magnolia, I will never know. Smashed that role out the park.

Collateral is the one for me.

The chemistry between him and Jamie Foxx is electric and the cinematography of night time LA, is stunning.

Both among my all time favourites. Been meaning to rewatch Magnolia for a while. Tom Cruise is utterly outstanding generally imo, I think hes weirdly underappreciated

Meh. Maybe we are. We are only called humans because that is what we named ourselves. To other beings from other planet's, maybe we are lizards.
