I thought it was funny at the time but it has aged badly. Shaun of the dead still stands up but spaced will always be their best work
Under the radar this one - Kill the Messenger.
The always excellent Jeremy Renner plays Gary Webb, the journo who broke the CIA involvement with the Nicaraguan rebels in the drugs for guns scandal.
Based on his book, Dark Alliance in which he revealed how the CIA was complicit in the crack cocaine boom.
Needless to say the CIA didn’t take it lying down.
Good solid film ( on Netflix )

Enjoyed Shaun of the dead a lot
I was just going through Jeremy Renner films that I hadn`t seen and came across it.
Gonna get the book now on the strength of the film.
I never thought much of renner till i saw him in an episode of Louie, and he was superb
Give him a decent script and he’s a very good actor, charismatic and has a real presence.

Just seen Just Mercy, great film but also an important story about Civil Rights and how racist the judiciary system is in America.
It's a true story about a lad on death row, from what I've read the film is historically accurate too. Very.good film

Bad Boys for life. Obviously it's not Citizen Kane but it is a very safe, entertaining film. The magic is not as it was in the first film, suppose that was never going to be the case though. It has a few genuinely funny moments, good action scenes bit of pulling on the heart strings. What more could you want.
