Just been to see Sorry We Missed You, brilliant piece of film making, great performances from the central characters. But to quote my wife "that was painful watching".

Looks really good this. Still got the goods has Ken Loach.

Saving Private Ryan

Better than I remembered. Some cheesy moments, but a very good film still. Too bad it can’t escape the Band of Brothers comparisons. 9/10

Described as Shaun of the Dead meets High School Musical. Some genuinely witty moments and lyrics to the songs. A bit sweary and gory at times but it was an interestingly different film to watch on a Saturday night. At least for me...

Creepy, suspenseful and links in beautifully to the Shining.Building up to a stand out ending.

It’s over two hours though and is slow in parts.

Ewan Macgregor very good in the lead, as is the little girl in support.

One particularly disturbing scene.

A working knowledge of the Shining deffo helps.

He’s one of those actors who is getting better as he gets older.

He’s excellent in this, just a shame that couldn’t get Jack Nicholson to do a cameo.

Watched Dolemite is my name last night. Would have to go a long long way back to find the last Eddie Murphy film I liked, but I really enjoyed it. Very funny, and a story that was more or less unknown to me.

Just seen that It Follows is available on BBC IPlayer, not a bad horror film for its genre in this day and age. It at leasts try to do something diiferent and has the 80s synth music, which is always a good thing!

Definately worth a watch.

One of the first films I ever watched on telly. Proper Sunday afternoon fodder, terrified me as a little fat kid.
