One of my all time favourites that one. Defoe and Hackman doing one of the best Good Cop/Bad Cop routines you'll ever see. I think saturation pushes most movies out of mainstream conscience with the exception of a few established classics. People don't know what they are missing out on

Then all of a sudden, some critic will " rediscover " them and all the art house crowd then lay claim to have started a new wave in cinema lol

Just watched Ted Bundy on Netflix - a complete let down disjointed not accurate in the storyline - the documentary of two series has more going for it .....great acting in the film but they make a complete hash of it imo - if I had watched the documentary first would have binned the film after 20 minutes.......

Saw the new X-Men film yesterday, I thought it was quite good and that the critics are being overly harsh on it. Nothing spectacular but a decent way to kill a couple of hours. More to like then dislike imo 6.5/10.

As if Mississippi Burning is forgotten about, it's a classic, one of my fave Hackman films.

The Old Man & The Gun

Warm, understated, unashamedly nostalgic and understands the value of less is more. Great swansong for Robert Redford at his most Robert Redford. Sissy Spacek, Casey Affleck, Danny Glover and Tom Waits are all excellent as well.

Thought Hackman was amazing in that film, born for that role, brilliant film.
