Nothing to Hide (AKA
Le Jeu)
This one ties in with both the last film I watched
and films which are set in mostly one place. Yay!
Was pleased to see this turn up on Netflix late last year, and have finally got round to watching it. Hopes were high as it's from Fred Cavaye, who made two outstanding French thrillers in
Anything for Her and
Point Blank - both of which are well worth tracking down. This one isn't a thriller, but is more of a comedy, and it stars Berenice Bejo, who you might recognise from
The Artist.
It's set at a dinner party where the guests decide to play a game in which each puts their mobile in the middle of the table, and every text/call that comes in throughout the evening is made public to the whole group. It keeps you interested, and you want to see where it's all heading, although a late twist makes it slightly unsatisfying. It's worth a look if you have Netflix, and is available in both its original French with subs or an English dub.
