When Peter Reid came on on Saturday, my daughter said, " When was the last time you saw a player older than you on the pitch?". Even Ashley Young was too young.

Saw this as a sidebar in the transfer thread and thought it would be interesting to see what names roll in.

Mine is Tim Howard but just barely.

Hmm, interesting. I thought it would have been Neville Southall but he is younger.

Of the ex-players it is probably Ian Atkins (although he obviously wasn't playing for us when he retired). Or maybe Trevor Ross.

Actually, checking through more birthdays, it is Peter Reid (both for his regular career and for his appearance against Roma).
