So with all this complaining about how bad Pip is as a player I take it the long term contract was for the massive transfer fee we'll get from Sydney FC when they decide they need to be the retirement fund for another ex-Premier League player...... or maybe he does the job the coach wants and the fact that Jars is coming doesn't mean anything to PIP's starting team position.

Whoopee. Going to rush out and buy a shirt with 15 on it.....not

Must be great being you. Ok so the poor lad isn't Juan Moutinho Maradona Riquelme, but he's a proven International to play in an area where we struggle. So for me its a positive.

Why does it matter that we sign this guy before or after we sign the more expensive players. Anybody know Mary Ainscow? Well she has some form of Autism which means she doesn't understand the value of money and hence spends it like its going out of fashion. Her parents agreed a suicide pact, bought two one way tickets to the Canarys - the mother survived. I see them on a regular basis.

My point is, just because this lad didn't cost anything doesn't mean anything. We have basically got a free player (bar wages) to play in a position where struggle. So stop moaning, please for the love of god. Its never that bad.

Afraid i cant get excited about a player who has only come in as emergency cover and would not have been signed but for injuries. So you carry on deluding yourself that this a good signing. It quite clearly isn't

He is a good addition, not a fantastic one. Any true supporter of the club would be quite pleased we have added to the squad numbers in a position we need cover for with Hibbert out for 6/7 weeks. Proven International on a free, cant be all bad.

I don't think it is a good signing, but its also not a bad signing either, and its a senior experienced professional - which we need.

You know what, get bent - your miserable postings are just getting me down, consider yourself ignored again.

this is actually the second time i think tyhat you have a crush of Benitez. You sound like him anyway.

This is an excellent signing, free player and appr. at 1 mill £ in wage. You can get a UK div III player for that, not a proven International. I think he will surprise you.

From what I've heard he's a more attacking fullback which is good news. We have two defensive fullbacks so bringing this lad in will give us a different option in different games. Maybe he'll be better suited to European games and could give our right winger the support he needs when going forward.

I've always said players like Neville and Hibbert hold Arteta back because they don't support him well enough, hopefully Jacobsen will help us out in that department.

Someone is trying to pinch ghost title of Mr delusional. An emergency free signing is an excellent signing. Oh dear
