Hilarious that people are finding their moral compass over a player throwing a transfer request in over us signing another clubs captain and not making a peep.

Whats morally wrong about signing another clubs captain?

It is a good move from Moyes to get the Sunderland fans on his side but Kone probably isn't going to be too impressed that they're telling him they will give him a new contract after the window closes with no guarantees they could match what we offer.

I would say it's on. It's just the club making out kone is a money grabber etc then they sell him and it's all good. Then kone signs and says that moyes is a bed Ted

depends what it was. It would have to be a pretty good project for me to turn down an additional £30k a week for 4 years tbh.

think it's more the way he did it. a statement on social media basically calling the club lairs doesn't reflect well on Sunderland. Moyes is probably also trying to lay down the law early on

If I slagged my employer off in social media if be fired, I'm not saying he shouldn't of been disciplined but deduction from his wages just doesn't seem like something that would be allowed in any other profession unless you'd damaged an asset say. I suppose they could argue their brand is the asset in question

Not sure that may be the case here. Stones had been with us for a few seasons where as Kone was with Sunderland for a few months.
