He was fantastic in France. Never settled at Valencia last season but they were a club in turmoil - it may not have all just been down to him.

Never saw him in france (or at least dont remeber him) but he was beyond dreadful last season...could be that walsh saw him in france and thinks he could be good for us.

For valencia he pushed players off the ball, dived in at the earliest opportunity, shoulder barged players in the penalty area and couldnt pass for toffee.

Apparently chelsea under mourinho were after him before but he really did look poor last season. I cant remember his name but it was even worse than that bald french guy ferguson signed years ago for united...

Perhaps hes a player who should stick to the french league?
