Yes a manager like HC if he liked him as a player it would have been done and dusted with Jags going the other way also with a reduced fee of the 18 million they want could have had him for 10 million?

the story is that he was promised an improved deal from the club should they stay up (when they signed him in Jan that is).

I do think we're in for him - or at least interested - not sure we've made a bid that matches Sunderland's valuation however we have quite clearly been given permission to speak to him.

Why would he want to stay. Why would his agent want him to stay. If he moves they get a cut of a transfer fee and he gets a nice new contract anyway.......
