Lacina Traore

My head tells me that when Martinez promised to close the transfer window strengthened, he'll deliver on that; my minds eye though sees a grinning Kenwright on February 1st handing over a 6M cheque to Elstone for the *infrastructure fund*.

I would imagine the deal may have included a clause that meant Monaco could not recall the player. I would imagine this has changed until they replace Falcao. This could be the sticking point. Monaco probably won't let him go without a recall option until they get cover to replace Falcao.

We could hardly wait to sell Jelavic, Hull might've found another target and our chance to get £6-7m for him would be gone.

I don't reckon Traore's coming. It would've been announced by now if he was.

Surely he must be fit by now?

Martinez said on Monday night that he was 'a few days from being fully fit'.

I'm assuming he's been receiving treatment this week, either by Monaco or us.

Can't recall a player if there's a fee involved in the loan and as far as I'm aware you can't recall international loans full stop as they are treated as short term permanent transfers.
