Just said on radio that ref at Stoke game will make his mind up due to high winds in a ground inspection at 6 20 so yes refs can call the game off because of wind, stoke game classed unofficially as unlikely to take place

I went to stoke away this season, wind is always awful there so I'd hate to imagine what It was like tonight!

Getting ready to go. Gust of wind that sounded like a train going past the house.
Only live a mile or so from the ground. Would I be going out if it wasn't for the match?
No chance.

Last time it was this windy Howard scored, might help the striker situation.

They should call it off, im sure the emergency services could do without 35k people out and about tonight

And with half of Liverpools roads blocked, the M6 closed, and powerlines and trees falling like dominos, it isnt looking great.

No win now, so many people will have set off or be there to call it now would be so poor, not because it isnt the right choice but because its so late, everyone knew what was coming
