Big Jake may well be starting the season at centre half. Why would we need him. We have big Jake
I believe someone like Young came in (who has also won things in the past Premier League, Serie A, international caps, individual awards) had the right mentality. In the same vein Gascoigne, Ginola, Samsom and Blomquist were winners mate..it's an old trick Everton have used in the past, I was hoping we were past that. And before anyone says no I don't expect £30m to £40m players for every player we have lost.
It’s also about wages. He’ll want massive bunce so he’s not worth the risk.I believe someone like Young came in (who has also won things in the past Premier League, Serie A, international caps, individual awards) had the right mentality.
Its not about what club you have come from, its about what you are like as a character

Lallana and Welbeck were around 30 when they joined I think so still had plenty to offer. Milner I didn't understand but they renewed his contract so I imagine he's practically in a semi-coaching role since he's the same age as the manager. It's a difficult one though mate. As like Barry, Martyn, Gough, Young etc all game in and did a very commendable job.
I know people like the Brighton model, but they still make use of that system too, Milner, Lallana, Wellbeck etc
