Kyle Naughton

Indie is saying Naughton will play at left back, Walker right back and Chimbonda and Hutton are getting flogged.....

You can just picture those lads careers evpourating already.

Wasn't Chimbonda signed just a few months ago (again)? Clearly Redknapp knows what he's doing. Hutton also was the great hope, not to mention Bale on the other flank (and Gunter also). Seriously, if either decides Spurs are the place for them then their faculties need questioning.

Just want this transfer saga to be over now, one way or the other. It's been a week since we had a price agreed and still no outcome.

Exactly.

Bale cost £5m rising to £10m and turned 20 yesterday
Hutton cost around £8m and is 24
Gunter cost £4m and is still only 19

Surely this is all the Kyles need to dissuade them from joining the jokers

It's now 20 past 1 and nothing has been confirmed:huh:

Still clinging on, but perhaps the hold up is that naughton wants to come to us, but walker doesn't. But they're both being offered higher wages by spurs

Not gonna happen, sorry

What a f****g calamitous "transfer", however it works out. Pisses me off that virtually all of our signing have to go through some long protracted media circus. Heads should fcking roll until we can conduct our transfers as according to our club motto.

If heads must roll, you'll have to outline where you feel that Everton were to blame. I can't see it, but no doubt you can.

The much trumpeted Everton Way has clearly failed: player identified > deal done quietly and efficiently > player standing at Park End with scarf over head. That's the propaganda. It hasn't happened that way. They cant have their cake and eat it can they?

I suppose we cant keep blaming the board when countless players over the years have chosen other clubs over us. I mean they cant be doing anything wrong, proper blue is Bill, looking for investment 24/7, doesnt take a wage either, sat in the boys pen.

Totally blameless. Record turnover you know.

How much of his bull will most of you swallow?

It's not just this transfer, though, is it? It seems every single fcking player we try to sign has to go through a long protracted process of will he/won't he all drawn out in the media, who seem to know better what is going on that the club officials.

Why can't we just do things on the quiet and then announce the signing when the player is waving an Everton scarf over his head? Instead we always leak it to the media weeks or months in advance and alert rival managers who pinch them from under our noses half the time. Look at how Arsenal conduct their transfers - it'll be a case of "who" on the Tuesday and on Wednesday afternoon they have signed and Wenger is parading his latest acquisition. Why can't we go about our business this way?

First post of this thread is 1-6-2009 - so it's been out there for fully 6 weeks and we still haven't managed to sign him and now looks likes faffing around for that time has allowed another one to get away.

Bill doesn't really do soundbites, trouble is he doesn't do much business either. I expect a Fellainiesque last hour scramble to bring in resurgent superstar Titus Bramble.

just been on a s/u fansite , they are saying the two lads dont really want to go (naughton fancies everton, walker wants to stay),but s/u are getting a player called rose as part of the deal who happens to be the nephew of walkers agent, apparently this rose is a yorkshire lad,and was on loan at millwall last season.
